Before starting the login process, read the bullet points below:

  • For your security, the login session stays active for 45 seconds with no activity.  To avoid having to start over, please have the following items:
    • Your current digital banking login ID & password.
    • The cellphone tied to your account.
  • If you will ever use the LegacyNOW app, we recommend you complete your initial login process via the app on your mobile phone.  Logging in for the first time via the app will provide a smoother authentication experience.  If you do complete the process with your mobile phone, you will need the phone with you to log into a desktop computer.   
  • If you choose to complete your initial login from your desktop computer, think about how you log into your computer in the morning.  Do you use a login/password combination, a pin, a authentication app, etc?  This information will be used during the login process. 
    • We will have you log in 3 consecutive times from your desktop to create a more efficient and streamlined login process.  The 3 logins are to get your initial login completed, to register your device and to trust the browser. 
  • Allow plenty of time to complete the process as it could take up to 30 minutes. 
  • If you have problems logging in, please call the bank at 479-717-1900.

 

Login Instructions for Desktop

 

1. Go to www.legacyar.com

 

2. Click on: LegacyNOW Login Here  

 

3. Enter your existing Login ID and Password.

 

4. You will be required to complete a multifactor authentication process on either your 1st login, when using a new device, using a new browser or clearing your cache and cookies. 

    1. You must have a valid phone number to get through the multifactor authentication.  If a valid phone number is not listed on the screen, you will need to call the bank to get a new delivery method (phone number) added.   
    2. Select either “Text me” or “Call me” to receive a Secure Access Code (SAC). 

 

 

5. Once you select an option, the below screen will pop up.  Enter your SAC code below and click “Continue”. 

 

6. After clicking “Continue” you will have two options: “Continue in Mobile App” or “Register Passkey”. 

  1. If you select “Continue in Mobile App”, you will need to pick up your mobile phone and start the entire login process over using the LegacyNOW app on your phone. 
  2. If you select “Register Passkey”, you may continue the login process from your desktop. 

 

7. Click “Register Passkey” in order to continue the login process on a desktop computer.  The below screen will pop up.  You will be required to name your device.  In this example the device was named: Sarah Laptop.

  • It is recommended that Retail customers (customers with personal accounts versus business accounts) use the “Create Passkey via QR Code” process.
  • At this point we are going to provide instructions and examples for “Create Passkey via QR Code”.
  • After we walk through the entire process, we will provide instructions for “Register This Device”.
  • If you do not want to use your mobile phone to create a passkey, skip to the next red Alert box and follow the instructions on how to “Register This Device”.

 

INSTRUCTIONS FOR “CREATE PASSKEY VIA QR CODE”:

7a. After clicking on the “Create Passkey via QR Code” button, a box with a QR code will appear. 

 

 

  • Open the camera app on your mobile phone.
  • Point the camera at the QR Code.
  • Tap the link that appears on your phone to securely complete the authentication.
  • On your mobile phone a Legacy National Bank Authentication screen will appear.
  • Click “Register”. This will create a virtual passkey.
  • You will need to select where you will want to save the virtual passkey on your mobile phone. Your mobile phone will likely ask you if you would like to save it to your “Passwords”.
  • Your mobile phone will ask you to use biometrics on your phone (Face ID, fingerprint, etc.).
  • Follow the next set of instruction to “Register This Device”.

 

INSTRUCTIONS FOR “REGISTER THIS DEVICE”:

7b. After typing in the name of the device, you will need to  select either “Register This Device” or “Create Passkey via QR Code”.

  1. Register this Device:

After clicking “Register” there are a few different passkey options that could pop up depending on your computer configuration. The below example prompts you to “Save your passkey”. This box will represent the name you gave your computer (in this example: Sarah Laptop).

 

If you already have a  passkey for your computer, enter it in the “PIN” text box.  This could be a pin or it could be a password you use to log into your computer on a daily basis. 

 

OR, if you have a token/dongle from Legacy National Bank, insert it into your USB drive and touch the gold sensor. 

 

OR, your passkey may be automated and you may not have to complete this step.

 

8. After completing the “Register a Passkey” step, some customers may have the below profile screen pop up.  If it does, review the information listed for accuracy, scroll to the bottom and click “Submit Profile”.  You will not be able to fill in or edit any of the information.  If there is a piece of inaccurate information, please contact the bank to get it updated.   

 

9. After clicking “Submit Profile”, you will be requested to enter your existing password as well as a new password.  Keep this new password handy as you will need it a few more times during this process.   

Password Requirements

  • Must be between 10 and 50 characters.
  • Must contain at least 1 number.
  • Must contain at least 1 lowercase letter.
  • Must contain at least 1 uppercase letter.
  • Must contain at least 1 special character.
  • Password may not be the same as the last 10 passwords.
  • May not be the same as current password.
*You will be able to use your existing password for your new password this one time.

 

10. Once you successfully set your new password, a “Terms & Conditions” screen will pop up. 

  • The “First time Login Disclaimer” is a hyperlink to the Terms & Conditions.
  • Once you have read the Terms & Conditions, click the checkbox.
  • Click “Submit”.
  • Click “Close” once the Success! box appears.

 

Congratulations!  You have just completed your first of 3 logins!  Let’s proceed with logging in a second time.

11. Log off and navigate back to the login screen.  Enter your Login ID and Password. 

 

12. Your computer is now recognized and you will not have to register a passkey.  Click “Continue”.   

 

13. You will need to complete the passkey process, whether that be entering a pin, using a token/dongle, your mobile phone, or an automated process that was completed when you logged into your computer.  Below are 3 pictures outlining different passkey screens/processes you might see.   

 

14. After completing the passkey process, the next screen will ask you if you want to trust this browser.

  • If you click “Trust this browser” you will not have to go through multifactor authentication. 
  • If you click “Not Now” you will have to complete the multifactor authentication steps. 

In this example, we are going to click “Trust this browser”.

 

Congratulations!  You have just completed your second login.  Only one more log in to create a streamlined process going forward. 

 

15. Log off and navigate back to the login screen.  Enter your Login ID and Password. 

 

Congratulations!  You have now completed your 3rd login.  Because you have registered the device and trusted the browser, you no longer have to go through the passkey or multifactor authentications steps.
